I had to share a fun little detail from the start of our trip! After some flight delays and an hour drive from the airport, we checked in late to the Ka’anapali Beach Hotel, a cozy resort located within walking distance to Whalers Village. By the time we arrived, the night shift had already taken over.

When we got to our room, we were a little disappointed to find it was on the ground floor, facing the pool. You guys know me, when I stay at the beach, I love to be able to see the water. We had originally booked a partial ocean view, but since we’d emailed the hotel to request a room closer to Amy and Caroline, I think that threw things off.

After some discussions, we decided to ask if there was any chance of switching to a better view. When we went back to the front desk, the night shift worker was super friendly and immediately offered to move us to a full ocean view room at no extra charge! She joked that the perk of working nights was not having a manager around to tell her what she couldn’t do.

This little upgrade completely transformed our stay – the new view was incredible and made the whole trip so much more special! Sometimes it’s the little unexpected moments that really make a difference.
